Northern Lights Tour

Come and join us to see one of nature’s most beautiful visual phenomena. A one in a lifetime opportunity!

Overview

The Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis are a mesmerizing natural light display that can be typically seen from the regions of the Arctic and Antarctic. Iceland is just below the Arctic Circle, so that allows us to see the lights dance in the Icelandic skies.

Their colours might differ, the most common one is the neon green, but if you are lucky you will see them in red, purple and even blue! Sometimes they are so big, that it looks like there is a dragon dancing in the sky.

Included in your tour

Need to know

The Northern Lights are only visible during night time when the sky is dark. The best season to observe them is between September and April around 9PM till 2AM.

Aurora shows can be unpredictable even with the best conditions. We want to encourage you to be mindful and patient. They are something totally worth waiting for!

Please have in mind that weather conditions can be very unpredictable in Iceland, therefore North Fantasy cannot guarantee that you will see the Northern Lights or how they will appear in the night sky.

At night the temperature drops quite a lot, we advise you to dress appropriately with several layers and thermals.

How to capture the Auroras?

Use a Tripod: Stabilizes your camera for long exposures.
Manual Settings: Adjust ISO, aperture, and shutter speed for optimal results.
Bring extra Batteries: Cold temperatures can drain battery life quickly.

Unfortunately, not. Iceland’s terrain varies depending on the area and the weather conditions which can make it difficult for people with reduced mobility to walk around safely.
